~ Each body has its own natural alignment which can be found through relaxation and rhythm ~

Is your horse:

  • Heavy on the forehand
  • Stumbling
  • Poor bascule over jumps
  • Poor transitions
  • Having difficulty engaging hindquarters
  • Short, choppy and uneven strided
  • Hollow backed with poor self-carriage
  • Difficulty maintaining leads
  • Stiff longitudinally and/or laterally
  • Older, with arthritis and/or pain, stiffness
  • “cold-backed”, “girthy”, “head-tosser”...just plain bad tempered!?

Equine Massage Therapy can help by:

  • Loosening the head, neck and poll will improve balance and flexion for smoother turns
  • Loosening shoulders will release the pivot ability of the front end and the mobility of the hind end for improved balance, flexion and propulsion

  • By raising the back the horse can engage himself for improved self-carriage and impulsion
  • A freely moving barrel creates a “jiggle in the gut” allowing for better function of internal organs

I perform a non-invasive, principle based massage with a holistic and functional approach to the inside of your horse - a unique equine massage practice combining elements of Neuromuscular, Myofascial and Craniosacral massage combined with T'ai Chi principles of natural movement.  I know what makes a horse move correctly and how to work WITH your horse to create lasting results.

Massage can help most horses by loosening fascia (which is connective tissue that surrounds bones and muscles), restoring bloodflow, fluid flow, and enabling energy flow from the hindquarters through the body.  Massage can also be used to assist the repairing of damaged muscle fiber, such as contracted tendons, ligament and muscle strains, chronic inflammatory conditions, peripheral nerve injuries,  and scar tissue.
